Special Tour - A Journey in the footsteps of Prof. Anati to Mount Karkom
Generations of people from all over the world and of all religions, grew up on the story of Exodus. The story of the migration of the Israelites from Egypt and how they got out of slavery. The story about the journey in the desert and the victory of the human spirit. Many have researched the trails of this journey and tried to determine where the most important event on this journey have happened – "The Sinaitic Covenant" – the acceptance of god's commandments.
Professor Emmanuel Anati, one of the most experienced archeologists of the Negev, has discovered already in the early '50 the abundance of rock engravings on Mount Karkom. On the early '80 he established in depth research, that continues until these days, that led to the acknowledgment of this mountain as the "Mountain of God" – the biblical Mount Sinai.
We will meet Prof. Anati for a fascinating evening talking about his research. On the next day we will head out early before sunrise on a jeep tour to "The Mountain of God" with the a guidance of Nadav Silvert – a local guide who is an expert of Mount Karkom.
