The Horse Trails

Our Horse Trails tour is the ultimate desert tour for the horse-riding enthusiast, with a series of rides passing through the spectacular scenery of the Ramon Crater and Negev mountain highlands. This is truly a unique experience, combining breathtaking views with free sport horse riding. And if you’re worried about our horses and the heat, don’t be; our horses are trained for endurance riding in desert terrain and compete in long distance riding competitions of up to 80 km a day.

Duration each day: We will ride for about six hours each day in order to cover distances of 30-40 km a day

DAY 1: The Ride to "Everest", the top of the Ramon Crater rim


Day 1 of our ride takes us to astonishing viewpoints of the "volcanic" area of the crater and the high Negev Mountains region. We’ll also discover wells that were built 3000 years ago, and enjoy some truly amazing riding on the Tzin stream plateaus.

Day 2 : "Down the Rim " day

Day 2 of our ride will take us down into the crater along the Ramon stream route. At sunset we'll climb the crater's rim, some of it by foot, and arrive back at the Alpaca farm.

Day 3: The Scenic Eastern Crater

Day 3 sees some serious riding fun! We’ll start the day by driving the horses to the eastern side of the crater, before heading out to some of the most well-known scenic paths in Israel. We will be climbing Gvanim Mountain, then riding through the Gvanim stream, Ein Saharonim, Maale Dkalim, the Ardon stream, the Spice Route and the Ramon Colors path.
