“Remember that wherever your heart is,

there you will find your treasure.”

Paulo CoelhoThe Alchemist

We at Desert Nomads believe we have already discovered our own little treasure, as we fell deeply in love with the serenity and majestic beauty of the desert many years ago. Now, with over 30 years of experience in the Land of the Negev Craters, our Desert Nomads team invites you into our desert to fall in love too!

We’ll guide you along the footsteps of the Exodus Trail, the Nabatean Spice Route, the Shepherd’s Trail and more, while enjoying some of the mystery and history of the Negev Desert. Our knowledgeable team leaders will take you on a journey that delves into the geology, archaeology and unique natural phenomena of the craters, while also enjoying some of the local culture. Living in the desert for many years, our local trail leaders have become great desert believers, and are more than happy to share their love of the area with you.

Safety & Security
  • All of our trail leaders are experienced and qualified according to Israeli regulations.

  • All of our tours meet worldwide standard and safety measures.

  • Our tours follow only trails marked by the Israeli Society for the Protection of Nature.

  • Most of the Israeli desert has cellular reception coverage.

  • The Israeli desert is far away from any problematic borders and all of its inhabitants are friendly and welcoming.

  • Not that you’ll need them, but Israel's Search & Rescue teams are known to be the best in the world and there is a whole unit devoted only to the Negev region. Israel's Air Force also provides helicopter rescues when necessary and is on alert 24/7.

  • Israel's medical services are some of the most advanced in the world, with hospitals a short distance from anywhere in the desert.
